My new water feature

I did this on Saturday. I have wanted a water feature for some time now and had looked at the rock waterfall type with a pond at the bottom of them. They cost around $1500 or more for the entire set up, so I thought about just getting a barrel for about $500 (the entire set up). Then I decided to get a second hand bath and have it run into the small pond I already have. My husband said we could use a fish tank pump to run it, but it was too strong for what i wanted. I thought about it for a while and decided to use a lady water feature my husband bought me a few years ago for inside. she is sitting on the edge of the bath, we bought a smaller fishtank pump/filter and hooked it up to my lady water feature. It looks lovely. It cost me only for the plants. The bath tub was given to us, the pond was given to us a few years ago, the lady water feature was a gift from hubby a few years ago.............oh we had to buy a $20 pump filter.............the fish my husband bought during our winter to put in the pool to eat the mosquito lavae (and they did) so we got them out of the pool (so we could clean it) and they are in my water feature now. I did this with no help from hubby either, he went out in the morning and came home with me almost finished. I made a mistake and had the bath overflowing into the garden, so I had to take the littel pond out (easier because it is smaller than the bath) and redig the hole it has been sitting in for a couple of years to adjust it so the bath overflowed into the pond................and it worked. Just tell me how clever I am!!! I am patting myself on the back already. LOL I know it is not "brand" new, but it adds a "rustic" feel to it.

Quite original! I like it!

In the first photo though, the lady water feature looks almost see-through!

Yes I just had a look again Monica, and she does look see through, but it must have just been the photo, because she is made out of cement or clay or something like that. The part I like the best is it cost me under $100 to set it up...............that made me happy
