Great Book

I was at Boarders today and stumbled upon this great book. It's called The Healthy Bird Cookbook and it has a lot more than just recipes. Its a great book and I'm going to order it from Amazon.com. Here's the link if you're interested:
Amazon.com: The Healthy Bird Cookbook: A Lifesaving Nutritional Guide and Recipe Collection: Books: Robin Deutsch

I just saw that at Borders on Sunday. I thought there was alot of great sounding things. But just upon flipping through it I found alot of contradictory information than that of what I have read on here and other places. So I didn't get it. Be interested to know how other people like it too./

Likewise. One of the recipes they allowed me to view on Amazon showed corn syrup as one of the ingredients.

I have the book. There are alot of neat recipes in it BUT there are alot of recipes that call for salt, sugar, mushrooms, and large amounts of butter. I just omit anything I feel my guys don't need. I went to a thrift shop and found a diabetic cook book (for people) and I use more recipes for the birds out of that book than I do the one made for birds!

I also have the book and omit ingredients that I deem harmful to my birds. I've found my flock enjoys the recipes for the most part but I also find that the recipes usually have quite a few ingredients so they're not quick to prepare.
