Before I joined BB I didn't know a soul in Ca..Now I see many that have helped me and made me laugh are in grave danger and I can't seem to stop crying. Is it to much to ask that every one of you are safe?I was not prepared to become so emotionally invested with people I've never met in person.I wish there was something I could do.I feel so helpless.

As of now, most of the fires are more than 50% contained, thank God. They did arrest one person that they saw from aircraft who was lighting a hill on fire. But a friend of mine told me that they classify all human-started fires as arson, not just the ones started on purpose. Hopefully they'll nail the idiot that they caught though.
I want to thank everyone for their support too. Glad you got moved back in, habs71, I've moved back in as well, and the skies are looking much clearer today. Hope the rest of you are safe! |

"Fires burning on both sides of the freeway at Camp Pendleton and high winds knocking down power lines has the I-5 shut down at San Onofre and traffic backed up for miles this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. With Metrolink unable to move trains out of its Oceanside yard, service has been halted from San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente and Oceanside. There are several cancellations and trains heading north can only be taken from Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo. Amtrak, meanwhile is trying to get a train to Los Angeles from San Juan Capistrano. Details are not immediately available." Also here are some quick help numbers... As far as fires being out, I highly doubt it... Fires like these will take another day or two or longer depending on winds and conditions to be completely out.
I have a feeling that the fires arn't over though, some arson will pick more areas to set off and create more headaches... Just waiting for my immediate area since the hills havent burned in like 13 years TONS of built up brush and trees prime to go up... |

last night on CBS, on a clip, showed a woman running down the street carrying her tararium. it made me wonder how many people are running away carrying bird cages, its so sad the poor animals dont know whats happening, only that it hurts to breath.
