Honestly I think animals know exactly whats going on... I really do believe that have a ingrained natural instinct that the smell of fire is one of caution and warning of whats to come... You hear alot about animals and earth quakes that just before the quake hits cats and dogs are going nuts! So if they have a means of escaping they will do what it takes,,,

I was watching the news and it was showing deer that had came out of the hills just chilling in the neighborhood with people all around... kinda funny but will do what it has to do.

Things are a bit better in San Diego, some folks are going home. The Camp Pendleton fire is growing. However, the low winds and all the air support are helping. Schools and many businesses are closed through the weekend.

Below is a link the local ABC news station it gives you information on how much containment for each fire.

abc7.com: Map and Links for Wildfires Burning in Southland

For me here there is so much smoke in the air. I don't have air conditioning so I worry about Indy and all the stuff in the air that we are breathing.

Well there are still 7 fires raging on....

We are now up over 1,800 homes lost in these fires and the fires are threatening alot more... I don't see these fires being put out for another week if no one else starts any new ones...

Thumbs up Southern California fires

I am in San Luis Obispo, CA. No fires here, but had several days of heavy smoke. Have volunteered to foster birds if needed.
Hope ALL the fires are out soon. We had rain here today. Hope Southern Ca had rain too!

We live about an hour and a half.....driving time.....from the Running Springs fires........20 miles as the crow flies. I've had to keep my doors and window closed the last 3 days because I don't want the smoke harming my babies. It's been burning my eyes, nose and throat so I know it can hurt them.
