Sounds like fun!!!
Hey- I tried to "chat" today, but no one else joined in. :(
Is there any other way to notify users that someone is in the chat room? It seems so easy to miss. Just out of curiousity, do you pay for this site by yourself? If so, that is really cool of you!

Setting aside a budget while you are still trying to get to Europe, what a guy!!!!!! Where do I send my donation?

I sure love things the way they are though, so I'm curious as all heck to see what they are. Maybe even more Smiley Dots that we can use in the "Can"?????

What Joel said--and is it possible to bring all the dots onto the main post a message page so we don't have to use the "view more emoticons" thing? Maybe get rid of the unused ones and bring in ones for hugs, scared, --there are others but I can't think of them all now.

ehhh...you guys probably won't even recognize the site once the makeover is complete (at least I'm hoping so anyway)

Joel, if I had money to put into the site, believe me, I would. But yeah, Europe is keeping me broke.

<plug>If anyone would like to donate to help me get closer to Europe, you can send me just a couple of bucks (or more) to kevin AT thecacklers.com using paypal.</plug>

Our future FIRST CHAIR must go to Europe!!!!!

You are going to Europe dude if I have anything to say about it. Put me down for a bunch of $$$$ (at least), the exact amount to be determined by how well (((I ))) like the new improvements/additions to the board. :) .....Sooooo, you may have to twist Keev's arm a little on the Smiley Dots (((& Etc.)))..... :eh: ...Did that sound like a bribe or what? :)

I really like the way the board is now (looks professional), colors and everything, additions would be fine but I hope we don't try to fix things that ain't broke.....JMHO as ALWAYS. .....What did Keev do btw, hit the Lotto?......J/K Keev!

What sites do you goto for certain information?

So if you could post the site and why you go here and maybe a lnk to that particular page. We would like to enhance what we have to offer and if we know what people are looking for maybe we can accomodate them.

Keev

First bird site I found, has an 'experts' area where certain people reply to the questions. There are experts on different species of birds, breeding (large parrots), and a vet that tries to help where he can over the internet. I only usually go here to talk to mainly one or two 'experts' about my own birds, though am somewhat moderating one of the experts boards when I have the time, as she is away. It's gotten quite slow though this year.

This is my sister's fiancee's site, where I use to be admin of (but because of one incident with a member put in charge, I've got the same exact benefits as the rest of the members who are not moderators). Don't have much interest in this site though I still read the posts, when time permits.

A friends forum, it's EXTREMELY friendly and there are jokes EVERYWHERE. A very personal site where everyone gets to learn about everyone else as if they were a neighbor or close relative. Everyone is usually much more closer over there than here at Birdboard, which is kinda a reason why I don't quite care for it much. Yeah, we get to know eachother personally, but because of that, there is less information or talk about birds, and more jokes. Plus side, people usually tell more about their birds when they actually DO talk about them rather than a short simple post that barely says a word about what's going on.

And then there is this site.... which seems to have just about the right doses of everything! Anyone can reply to a post, and may be able to help in one shape or form, and this also brings new ideas and thoughts to the board!
