How to start an Email account

Saucie, I hardly ever use my yahoo account... however, whenever I DO check it, there is always spam.... I was getting spam just days after I had signed up but NEVER had used the e-mail account to sign up for something else (as one would with a forum). I have a friend who also has a yahoo account and the spam is unbelievable! However, they've used their yahoo account far more frequently than I have. I've spoken with other people who don't like yahoo e-mail either due to the spam that they DO get.
