Might Take Sun Conure on trip to Ohio Driving Need Advice

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in awhile been busy, but I'm back and I have a question. How hard would it be to take my Sun Conure "Blaze" on a /?Driving?/ trip to Ohio, I live in Florida around Daytona Beach, and it's a good 1000 miles to get there. I have another parrot a Congo African Grey "Buckeye", but he will be staying home with a family member. I'm taking Blaze with me because, the family member sleeps during the day, so I didn't want him to be upset with Blaze because he screams. So, If I take him with me I'm going to put his cage in the back, but he won't be in it. I'm going to buy him a carrier and put food, toys, and a water bottle in it for him. I will be staying at a family members house who doesn't have any pets, so he'll be Ok. Does anyone see any flaws in my plan, or can anyone offer any advice this is the first time I have ever taken a pet on a trip, and I need some help! Thank you So very much in advance,
