What Makes You Happy In Life?
This post may seem a little bit weird, so please - bare with me. Lately I can not help but obsess with what makes me happy in life and what will continue to make me happy in life when I can not rely on my youth age.
I plan to get married within 2 years [IF I find the right person], move into my dream home in 19 months, and also own all of the pets on my wishlist. lol. I'm about find success in my dream career [owning an online empire]. My education is nearly all said & done with. Besides from that, it seems like my life is...and will continue to be...really bland. I am older soul & I made sure that I would achieve alot at a younger age. I have, and will, for the next two years. But then what? What can I do to make the most of life? So, what I am asking is - what makes you happy in life? How old are you? ARE you happy with your life? If you're not completely satisfied with your life right now; what, if anything, are you going to do to change that? Sorry everyone. I guess I'm just depressed or something. There's got to be more to life though. Moderators-feel free to delete this post if you find it inappropriate. |

when people stop searching for the perfect life/meaning of their life (different for everyone) and they usually dont live long.
everyone needs a reason to get out of bed in the morning even if its just to snuggle with your bird or smell the dew so all you have to do is make life worth living by finding the little goodies that still make you smile, give you the chills, etc life is good if you let it be

I am finally in a place in my life where I am happy and truly greatful for what I have. What makes me happy are the little things. things I can share with loved ones. My birds are the reason I have gotten out of bed every morning for the past 32 years. they taught me love and commitment. they are the reason I will continue to get out of bed, each day I am able!
the only thing I would change, is my health, but I still stick to my guns and say I rather it be me, than one of the birds.

I am happy with my life and finally like myself. Spent a lot of years being a bit different and letting it bother me; I also thought I could (or should) control a lot of things that I could not. I turned 50 this summer, have family and friends that I can depend on, live in a country where I am free to speak and live as I please, have a job that lets me do some good for mankind, a whole world to explore, critters that love me and enough money to do most of what I want (though my desires are pretty modest). I will never be gorgeous, hang out with the beautiful people, be able to carry a tune in a bucket, be coordinated enough to participate in any competitive sport (without providing comic relief), or be the mother of the Brady bunch. Hey, you make your choices -- no regrets

Thanks everyone! Ive decided to make a huge list of everything I want in life along with tons of goals.
My top 5 goals [Besides from what was priorly mentioned]: -Own a company directed solely to the pet industry. -Write books and sell them myself through online. -Complete extra online college to get a degree that will enable me to work at Loreal. OR start my own cosmetics company. [My father has been in the cosmetics industry for over 40 years! Loreal was the best company he had ever helped; its really family-like there] -Live to age 125. And always look 25. ;] -Have a reptile room and also a bird room. Own many exotics. Write books about their care and sell them cheaply online to help all owners take better care of their pets. My goals are pretty selfish but I can't help it; it's just the way that my mind works.lol. |

Everyone who has lived a life worth living has gone through what you are going through. Thank God I am 45... it's a great time. Find the people, pets and activities that make you feel alive. I teach high school, undergrad classes, and graduate school. I have dogs, cats, and a bird. I have a 15 year old son and a wonderful husband. I only sleep about 5 hours a night because my life is so full. I love it that you have set goals for your life, but be flexible!!! Go for what you think you want and want what you get. Make sure that whatever you do, you can look at yourself in the mirror in the morning and know that your daily activities will make a difference.
