word for the wise.....

These child behaviorists were doing a study. They took two kids and put one in a room with all the toys he could possibly ever want! The other child went into a room filled waist high with horse manure. They went away for a day and when they came back the kid with all the toys was just screaming and yelling making all kinds of commotion! They opened the door to his room and he was just having a fit wanting MORE, MORE, MORE. All the toys were broken and they just weren't enough. After a time they got the kid quieted down and to their surprise they heard laughter coming from the other room! It made no sense at all. They opened the room and the kid was just laughing and throwing the manure up in the air and having the time of his life! After watching this for a time they asked the child, "how can you be so happy in a room full of horse manure?" The child looked at them like they were stupid. He responded, "With this much horse poop there has to be a pony somewhere!!!"
Moral of the story: when life buries you in horse poop, look for the pony!!!

I was leaving work once and there was this kid. He was about 3 years old and he was trying to carry this empty box that was just as big as he was. He was really struggling but he didn't seem to care. His mom was walking behind him and I said,"That box is as big as he is." She replied,"I know but he loves playing with empty cardboard boxes." I said to her,"It must be great for you at Christmas." She said that it was because she didn't have to buy expensive gifts. It was funny.

2 Funny ! That reminds me of a friend who complained to me at Christmas time that they bought their child an expensive toy and on Christmas day they spent hours playing in the box it came in rather than the toy !
