Surprise 50th.....

Well I havent been around much the past few days, and will have to catch up on posts......I have been busy planning a 50th bday party for my husband. It was yesterday...
He had no clue. I got em good! I had a friend call him over to help uncover thier pool for the season, and he was gone for about 3 hours.
My neighbors hid the cake/beer/and some food at thier houses, while I had all the decorations hidden in my trunk. I had it catered. The Food, and alcohol was wonderful..
I had a full house. It was great to have our friends here, and everyone showed! George was really taken back by the whole thing. We had guests from Virginia, and all over Jersey attend. We had other neighbors come down and join in because of all the cars and people**LOL**

...I went to be early after having 4 martinis**LOL** George stayed up and played with his new Rocket

today is just a day to sit back, relax, and enjoy the fact I pulled the whole thing off!

After two martinis I forgot about the camera
1. George walking in the door....After reading on the front window "Will's 50!"
( I call him Will, cuz our son is also named George)
2. Present time...guess he got something good if some were taking pictures?!?

(I should have taken pictures of the guests in the livingroom, and outside....but I ummmmmmmmm forgot )

the day was pretty funny, because there was so much to do in so little time. The neighbors knew they had to jump into action the second George pulled out out the driveway. The biggest problem being George's motorcycle that has been in the garage since we moved, and did not run. He wanted a motorcycle jack for his birthday being the 26th....i bought him a jack, and that motorcycle got moved to the middle of the garage, and my car being ousted to the driveway. Usually I wouldnt mind, but I needed to set the food and table up in the garage with the sternos and couldnt have this bike in my way....so needless to say, we needed some man power to move the bike, and some other neighbors who i did not know, came to move it for me!!!(very nice..and I invited them back later for food)...so the bike was moved, and I started to decorate, when my neighbor came back to help me decorate, while the other was carrying over the goodies at her house. Before I knew it, it was time to go drive to get the catered stuff.....being newish to the area, I did not know where it was, but found out it was an hour drive,,,,,30 minutes each way!!(but fabulous food!) So I left me neighbors there to finish decorating **LOL**
I came back and made stuffed shells and fettichini alfredo with sun dried tomatoes. I just finished the dishes when guests started to arrive......everytime I would go in the bathroom to do my makeup and hair the doorbell would ring.....So....even by the time George arrived....I looked EXACTLY how I did when he left....in a tye dye outfit, no make up and my hair not combed!!!**LOL**

OHHHHHHHH well.....I grabbed a martini and went and did my hair and make up.....luckily there are no pictures that I know of me floating around!!!

Shoot! Wait up found the invitation now! It says the party is at Central New Jersey. Hmm.... Oh well I missed it. Loooks like a very good party though!
