YAYYY!!! I got my doggy!!!!

Okay, it's um.... well you see I've had him for some time, but he wasn't with me, and so I finally got him back today!!! So happy!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and his nickname is Anubis!!!

I also have "D", but he really doesn't have a name... he's kind of messed up though, but then again I didn't start him....

LOL The first one of a dog, or "Anubis", is a pinch pot head I did in ceramics. I call him my 'doggy' even if he's not real! I was originally going to make an eagle, but made him insead... then I was going to paint him but before I did that I added in some marks to make him more interesting, such as his nose, around his eyes, his 'cheeks', and on top of his head!

The second one, which is a dragon, a friend started, somewhat destroyed it, and was going to toss it out... I decided I'd take it, try and reshape it best I can and take off the extra clay that was put on him, add in some textural effects (cheeks and his mouth which was originally 'hollow'). After that I painted him with 3 different blues (which you can't even tell, cept for the blue in his mouth which is "milky way", but need get a better photo to really show what I'm talking about), some black, as well as some orange and red, which didn't turn out as I had hoped....

But these are basically things I made and painted in ceramics during my 04-05 school year! The dragon can somewhat be a insence holder, and when I brought him home I gave him to a friend (though have taken back for a short while). The dog, well, I ended up leaving him at school during the 04-05 school year, started back in the 05-06 year, and was going to take him back, but never did, and because of some complications (my knees) I ended up having to drop out of public school... so he was left there, until today!

Hey, that's not nice!!!

I think it's more so I can't legally BUY a drink, but nvertheless, why? I used to drink wine (special occasions) and got sips of my dads budweiser... (I was a toddler back then!) people tell me that I thought it tasted like grape coolaide and loved it! Now though??? YUCK!!! Least bit though, I think I'll stick with my soda!!!

Anyway, I love to create things with my hands, and I took the opportunity to take ceramics class, and I loved it! Heck, I was so good at some of it that my teacher HAD to question me and ask if I was a repeat student, even though it was my first ACTUAL ceramics class! Sometimes she couldn't believe me that I was a beginner in ceramics!!!

Hey, sweetie, I LOVE your doggy and dragon! When I was in university getting my first degree in Fine Arts, my major interest was in hand-built ceramic sculpture. So I love seeing your works of art, and am happy to see that Anubis has finally come home to you. They're both lovely, and I would buy that dragon in a moment for my dragon collection if "D" was for sale :-).

"D" isn't perfect, but if you really wanted him I guess you'd have to ask my friend!!! (well, guess I'd have to do that, now wouldn't I??? ) Guess it's the imperfectness that makes him look so unique!!!! Heck, I missed him so much (since I know a friend of mine likes dragons, I gave "D" to my friend) I took him back for a while!!!
