LOL
grandma, I know how ya feel. I used to be able to sleep for 8-12 hours. That was before this IBS started.... Now? If I'm lucky, the pains let me get to sleep somewhere between 3-5AM... then the cramps wake me up again in 4 hours (5 hours if I've been given a tranq). Nothing wakes ya up faster than pain. (It's pretty hard to greet the day with a smile when it feels like your "alarm clock" just jammed a spear into your guts and straight through the inside of left hip.)

I'm up around 2 am six days a week, since I start work at 4 am. Been doing this for several years now so I'm pretty used to it. Night life=zero. Usually in bed by 8 pm. On Sundays I usually sleep in until 4 or 5 am and end up feeling like crap.

6 a.m. most weekdays, though the snooze button on the alram gets hit several times. If chicks are being handfed, they will wake us up betwen 4:30 and 6 a.m. peeping. On weekends, maybe 7 a.m., but last weekend I got up, took care of the birds, got fruits and veggies dispersed and lay back down and took an hour nap. We've been going tob ed between 11:00-12:30 and I'm getting too old for this crap.

Boy you people are all "early birds"....(lol)! I'm a slug and can't be bothered to get up any earlier than 7:30am ever. Of couse, it helps to be located only a 10minute walking distance to work. I think my slug persona rubbed off on my birds they can't be bothered to wake up before 7:30am either. My CAG hears the birdies outside chattering and opens one sleepy eye with a look of like "shut-up"...

Up at 5:30 am, bedtime somewhere between 10 and 11:30 pm.
I'll also sneak in a nap when I feel like it--I just give the boys lunch, put them in their cages, and they take a nap (or do something quiet while watching HGTV), too :-).
