I'm not from Florida; been there several times, it's just not the place for me. I'll stick with somewhat cooler temps and the temperate rain forest.

I live in Pensacola with 17 birds. 15 of them are rescued birds, mostly from SafeHaven Avian Placement Services near Spring Hill, FL. I have 9 conures, 1 senegal, 1 amazon, 1african grey timneh, and 5 cockatiels. Theo, my shelter dog, also lives with us. Cindi

I live in Florida too. Only been here for 1 1/2 years, moved from California.
We live in central Florida, small town called Summerfield, about 15 miles south of Ocala.
Real horse country, which is good for us, since dh is a farrier (horse shoer.)

I use to live in Florida.... a few years back. Lived in Tampa mostly than got a customized van and just moved from town to town throughout the state... My mother in law now lives in Winterhaven so have somewhere to go when I go down to visit... not that I stay there much. Mostly get a rental car and tent and head for the key's.... I unfortunatly had to come back to the cold of Upstate New York because of my parents... I'm the only one that could move out of my 3 siblings.

Oh and Tiki.. I've been to your sunshine state also. Landed in Brisbane and stayed in Surfer's Paridise and also went to Hamilton Island... love it!!!!

We've been in Maitland (just a couple of steps North of Orlando - and not near the "Attraction Area") for 10 years. I only had a couple of cockatiels until we moved here. Now I've got a real bird that talks to me and everything!

Original Southerner, tho. Born and raised in N.GA, lived in KY (which doesn't seem Southern) for 15 years. Waiting to see where the wind blows us next.

Sarasota here!

I am originally from Columbus Ohio and now have been in Paradise for almost 7 years and don't miss driving in the snow at all. I do miss watching it fall. I miss green rolling hills and the changing of the leaves too but I can always get in the car and go somewhere and always return to sunshine and flowers and the beach!
