Does anyone know about silk???

I have a silk scarf. The cowboy type. Long story short we had a wasp in the bathroom - I hate wasps. Anyway, the bug spray was in my room on my dresser (far from any birdies) and one day it leaked or something we cannot figure it out but its far away gone now. Anyway my silk scarf smells like pesticide and I need to clean it. Anyone???? how do I clean it - there is no stain - just odor. It is black

Hand wash in woolite and cool water. Lay it flat on a towel to dry.
