well I went to my Doc today. Got a me a prescription for Chantix. According to the doc its as close to a "magic" pill as there is for quitting smoking. Its a 12 week program. 24/7 panic/help line. Dailey help notice in the e-mail.
I start taking it Sunday and next Saturday is my quit date. Program says to take it for a week then stop. Been smoking again for almost 4 months after having had stopped for 6 months. The is a "my inspiration" line at the bottom of my profile page on the websight. It says "My inspiration is Kelly Sophie Zoey Benji" I guess its my turn to "Step up" eh?
That rotten bugger went and put me on a diet too!!! I put on 30 pounds when I stopped smoking last December and he kinda noticed the weight differance. He also noticed my blood pressure (bottom number) has gone up. Weight related. Ready for this? First thing he says is don't go on a diet!!! He laid out a plan and explained what he meant to me. It made since and is something I can do. Guess I'll be eating breakfast with the fids from now on.

Best of luck! I hope it works for you. I'm sure the fids will enjoy eating breakfast with you! I should quit smoking as well. I looked up those sites for the "Quit smoking shot" but don't wanna pay $500 or more for a shot that may not work. Winter is coming & I hate smoking in the cold. Maybe that will force me to quit. PLEASE stop smoking. I'm begging you. Kelly has lot of hard work invested in you and YOU owe her a lot. You can't repay her if you're not around.

And, when you get over this addiction, PLEASE tell everyone how you did it and how much better life is.

As a matter of fact, why not do a journal on PL for the members to follow your progress. Be a leader. I know I'm rooting for you.

Of the 5 hospice patients that I worked with the first year I did hospice volunteer work, all died of lung cancer because of their smoking addiction. How sad is that?
