The Market Place
Here is a poem I wrote many years ago in Germany that I thought I would share with you, seeing as how it’s that time of year again. And to those of you that are not of my faith, I still want to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and lots of love and warm thoughts coming your way.
"The Market Place" The Market place At Christmas time Happiness on every face Drinking hot and spicy wine Father, mother, child and dog In every hearth a burning log Executive, punk and sod Celebrating the Son of God Life is good and God is great Each one caught up in their own fate To toast hopes birth with spicy wine God is great and life is fine Laugh my child be full of joy For you know nothing of evils ploy To plant within you the seeds of discord Live your life and love the Lord The haughty, the high The meek, the low His birth neareth This they all know He died for you upon the cross So that your soul would not be lost Believe in him and in his pain So that his sacrifice was not in vain Enjoy, live life and celebrate To invite him in is not too late When you walk the path on which you go Remember He loves you more than you will ever know Peace Graehstone
