Just have to share a cute story

I've mentioned before that Ducky has chosen a new hang out which is on top of the china cabinet and on top of the vase so his head is about an inch from the ceiling. He just hangs up there all day long. He comes down to go to the bathroom and have a food break then heads right back up there.

The way he climbs up there is I have a step stool there so I can reach him. He climbs up the step stool, goes inside the cabinet, makes his way to the top shelf and then climbs up the open door. Once he's on top of the open door, he can climb to the top and then voila, he's there. I've actually watched him take naps while he's up there. So far, he's never pooped up there. He climbs down to go to his cage to poop.

Anyway, the funny thing he did was I went up to him and raised my hand up high but did not step up on the step stool. I could not reach him so I just said in a real stern voice "step up." He knows that I mean business when I use my stern voice so he started to climb down. But he really did not want to get down so instead of stepping up on my outreached hand, he leaned forward and started kissing my finger making cooing noises. I guess he figured if he acted real cute and sweet, I would relent and not make him get down. It worked, I let him stay up there.

Dang, I love that bird.
