Poor bear.

I found the reporter's various adjectives hilarious, though. "Tanked" was my favorite.

Unhappy

Unfortunately this funny story turned sad. The bear was so drunk, it couldn't eat, drink, or stand. They tried to relocate it, but he was so bad off they had to put him down. Heard that on the morning news this morning.

actually he wasn't drunk at all. t had nothing to do with alcohol whatsoever. he was ill and they had to put him down. here's the story.

bears are really delicate animals. for their big size they have a very small heart. there is a place in the upper pennisula of michigan called oswalds little bear acres. it is located in newberry,mi. they are a rescue place for bears. they have about 20 bears. about 4 yrs ago they had their braindamaged bear die to an improper darting. the only safe place for a bear to get darted is on the hind rump. any other place is lethel to them. the brain suffered braindamage due to being abused. he would stay in atree 23 hrs. day and only come down when the coast was clear to get a drink/eat then scurry back up the tree. they had to have a vet come out every year to put him into a hibrination state because he wouldn't come down when it was time to hibernate. if ever ya'll get a chance to visit oswalds it is awesome. it cost about $10-$12 a car load. they are a non profit. whenever there are cubs they take the cubs away before hibernation is over,so that the cubs are not injuried. dean teaches the cubs what they need for survival. then the dnr releases them back out to the wild. here is a website that you can take a peek at: www.exploringthenorth.com/oswald/bear.html
