i am second in charge at a pet supply store. we also occasionally sell birds and small animals and fish.

it's a great job, very rewarding and fun and LOTS of hard work! i spend a lot of time stuck back unpaid makign the store awesome, we work really hard to have the best store around :) and hopefully it's working bcoz we are sooooo busy during the day!

my dream is primary school teaching. but i feel i'm not smart enough for that so i'll just have to work my way up in the world!

i've worked in the pet industry for about 6 years now, i love it and i love how people come in asking for advice and actually listen to what you say! there's nothing i love more than getting someone's dog off Pedigree/chum/supercoat and onto ssomething much better quality!!

i've also managed a salvation army store, an amusement centre, drove a lunch truck and sold kitchenware!

gee lots of you people here are so smart! i can only dream :)

I am a body mod artist, have been for many, many years now but I'm thinking about going back to school for a masters in American history so I can teach. My current job is great but I'm tired of stressing over the health risk and the horrible reputation of the industry.

I'm a student in high school studying biology, english, art, photography, psychology and geography. I spend enough time struggling with homework/ caring for my 4 dogs, 6 chickens and 4 birds without seeking a job. Maybe I'll go work at Kali's shop? :D
I have many goals, and hope to fulfill them all in my lifetime... but I really don't think we get enough time! My goals include becoming a biologist, ornithologist, corvidologist, avian vet, movie director, concept artist, illustrator, photographer, writer, documentary maker, animal trainer, bird breeder and musician. I'm quite sure I could incorperate them all into one job somehow...? I am passionate about all of it, and can't choose! So when I'm out of school and travelling, I'm just going to dip my toe in everything, and see where the current takes me!

I'm a part-time substitute teacher & full-time mom. I was a stay at home mom until 4 1/2 years ago. I returned to school after subbing for a few years and now I am certified early childhood through 6th grade. I prefer working part-time so that I have more time for my kids & pets. My twins will be 12 in July & my youngest will be 11 in June. The great thing about subbing is no planning, I work 8 hours & I'm done. I have been getting 1 maternity leave a year so usually I work for 2 months full time & then back to part time for the rest of the school year.

What does everyone do for a living?

I am a Police Dispatcher with the L.A. Co. Police Dept, soon to be part of LACO Sheriff (we are merging) and Im in my 3rd year, working in SE Los Angeles (Watts area). Our station (at MLK King Drew Hospital) I work 12 hr shifts, 3 or 4 days a week (we rotate) and I'm gone from home a total of 14-15 hrs a day including the commute.

I felt bad for my cockatiel 'Pumpkin' that I was going to leave her alone all day, so I got her a friend. Then another friend came along, and then some finches came along. I do have a ball python snake that is over 18 yrs old and her name is 'Cloud'. No husband, kids for me...I have neices and nephews and friends to be with, and then they can all go home!!! LOL

......Sandra

I am a claims analyst, I pay medical bills. I can do this from my home. I love it. My hours are my schedule, just so long as I end up with 40 per week.

Gosh, I don't see how all of you hold these jobs and take care of the FIDS. I am a stay at home mom, have been for 12 yrs now. I have 3 teenage boys and 8 FIDS. They keep me plenty busy. I don't think I could even show up on time to a job. I homeschool all 3 boys so they are here to help out. Summer time is here so no more school and more time for the FIDS.
