I work in the Grand Jury, I see too much of this crap every day, and worse. I know I have a secure job, as the criminals never take a vacation.

It goes beyond my ability to comment on the insanity some people display.

I keep thinking that we all have to start 'parenting' even those that aren't our own. Dickens & Clemens/Twain both wrote about it - lots do - we teach this stuff in school - but society's heart seems indiferent to the plight of innocents. Clearly the parent here is dysfunctional but this might have been handled differently if our society was re-tailored. After all they'll become part of our larger family in no time anyways.

I find myself getting more cloistered as time goes on. The news is so terrible - they only glorify the worst in us all - I want to hear more about the people who work so hard every day to make this world a better place. Maybe our youth would be encouraged if they heard more good things. Here's a sample of people working for others - grandparent to grandparent is an idea that could be used anywhere - http://www.stephenlewisfoundation.or...rsinvolved.htm

Before the white man came along the Native Americans used to share their kids if someone was unable or someone wanted one - they even took their enemies kids - not that they were saints or anything. But I think they were more realistic.

I feel really bad for those that have to listen to all this 'bad' stuff everyday as part of their jobs - but I also thank you. Please do your best.
