I was thinking the exact same thing. Between the diseases and possible confrontation between larger and smaller birds it does not sound like a smart thing to do.

Interesting. My Birdie is clipped so she's out. Anybody experienced an event like this before? Just curious how it is handled.

I haven't, but I've read about them. Usually the participants are required to be vaccinated against the usual diseases that can be vaccinated for, and they have to have a recent and thorough vet check and subsequent clean bill of health to be allowed to participate. That said, I think I'd STILL be nervous about taking my birds there. But who am I to talk? I bought them from a bird store, and we all visit there periodically. Prolly not much difference, risk-wise.
