No birdy for now
Hey everyone,
First, I wanted to thank everyone who helped out in my "help me pick a bird" thread a few days ago. However, after a big ole fight with my girlfriend this week, I've decided that my relationship is more important than adding a pet, so I'm going to be giving up on the bird idea for now. Maybe if the cats run off, I'll try again But for now, no birdy for me. I guess I'll just have to get my fill by visiting pet stores...Unless anyone thinks it'd be a good idea to get a bird that I keep only in my office at work |

NO. You'll just have to get a new girlfriend!

Yeah, a new GF is the way to go! Whatever you do, don't keep a bird in the office unless you were planning to take him home at night.

Well, I don't have a bird yet, so it's not like I'm in love with it and she's trying to make me give it up...
If she told me it was her or the dogs, I'd tell her to leave some money for squeaky toys on the way out If she said it was her or the cats, well.... anyone want a few furballs? |

im lucky my husband loves our birds, the dogs are another story. I reluctantly agreed to let him get 1 australian tarantula if I could keep a boxer puppy , he now has 11 spiders to my one pup.

My BF hated birds (bad experience with a U2 called Romeo - he loved girls and hated men, wonder how he got the name) - quote: "it's either me or a bird".... 3 yrs later, HE bought Valo for me (I wouldn't have been able to chip all that money in at once out of my ridicolous stipend). I don't think he ever realized how I carefully "massaged" his dislike in a very subtle manner by taking him to the bird section whenever we bought stuff for the fish, showing him pics from previous birds, telling him wonderful stories about our budgies and tiels and so forth
