anyone know a good toy that...

I will be going on vacation for about 10 days and I will be leaving behind 3 birds (*sob* at the thought). anyways, i have been thinking about getting some kind of toy that they can interact with that when they press a button, my voice can be heard - something like a jukebox bird toy that i've seen, like this one:

BUT, one that i can personally record my own voice on it. usually when my husband and i are out of the house for a while, i usually like to call home and have the answering machine play so the birds can hear my voice (sorry if i sound insane here). my husband tells me when he puts me on speakerphone for the birds, he can see them looking around for me and become excited, so i do like to call in for this reason.

now that i am going to be going on vacation for almost 2 weeks, i want them to know that we are not abandoning them and that there is something that they can play with and get a positive reinforcement of hearing my and my husband's voice.

i have been looking around, but i havent found that right toy yet.

any suggestions?

THANKS!

There is a toy that you can record your own voice on. I saw one recently at a local bird store. Howver, i can't recall the name. Maybe someone else here knows what it is called.

There's a product called Wordy Birdy that you can record your voice on. The site says it will run for 6 months on 4 AA batteries? No sure about that. Seems like a long time on just 4 batteries.

Thea, that is very close in what im looking for. i dont know if i want a mirror tho, but the motion sensor is pretty cool.

i couldn't find anything similar at birdparadise.biz...could you give me a hint of where exactly to look?

hehe...with the wordybirdy product, i dont know if i could actually put that in their cages. plus there is no real interaction with the bird and the device. i would like it so that when the birds do something, they get to hear our voices.

thank you so much for your ideas. im glad to see that there are products already out there for birds. i just have to find it. if not, that mirror is not bad!
