Can't wait to see it. I have a 45 gal. tank with a few guppies in it. Saltwater tanks seem to be a lot of $$ and esp. work to me.

Hey Swanwillow,Just wanted to say if you do decide on marine fish,save one of the smaller tanks for quarantine because sooner or latter you'll need it.Also remember that many saltwater fish are pulled from the wild by some pretty unethical methods[cianide poisoning,electrical stunning etc.]That's why so many die in transport and quarantine.If you do not have a reverse osmosis water filter you may want to have your water tested first to see if it is useable.I like the shrimp idea,cover the tank well as they can climb out!Cleaner shrimp or ruby shrimp would work well.Watch out for those banded corral shrimp as they may lunch on gobies.

not my first tank, been in saltwater for 5 years now.

It'll be a goby/shrimp tank. Actually harlequin shrimp, with a starfish tank (they eat starfish only-otherwise starve) and sexy shrimp. Clams, LPS, zoanthids, ricordea.

reputable dealers, online only. The pet stores around here kinda stink, but one can order a LOT of things for me. goby wise, I'll be keeping a pair of trima gobies, and a pair of nematodes (watchman for shrimp type gobies) with a medium/deep sand bed, eco-rox (dead LR, theres a dealer near me) with 2 lbs of LR to seed. No fish will be added until June sometime, the first shrimp will be in next month, when I put what I already have in the 35 gallon from the 75. .. Need to get a set of lights for it!

Never heard of shrimp climbing out.. thats a new one. I don't plan on a single cleaner or peppermint, maybe a few 'fire' shrimp.

I have seen some STUNNING dart frogs however they are quite small, right? You wouldn't have the large, active colorful fish that can be admired from across the room. You wouldn't have all the neat crap growing from the reef rock.

I think once the habitat is established, either saltwater or frogs would be relatively easy to care for. SW would require more money for the setup, obviously.

Frogs would be cheaper and a bit easier, though if you had a 75 full of frogs you'd have to start breeding food. That, or go to a pet store every day!

Tough call. Personally I think a frog tank would be awesome. You could decorate it to look so nice that it wouldn't matter if the the frogs were tiny it would look beautiful from a distance. Moss, plants, wood, etc.
