I am back!!!

Just thought I would say "hello" after what seems an eternity. We have finished renovating the house. It is painted a pretty pink throughout except the bathroom and toilet which is blue. A brand new kitchen, we have built in cupboards in the bedrooms now and a floating wooden floor throughout the house (not bathroom and toilet). I almost went crazy trying to get things done before tradesmen did their jobs as well as do my normal jobs and my toddler almost went crazy as well as he could not do anything because I could not keep an eye on him. It felt like we moved house three times. Everything from one end of the house to the other, then back, then from the other end to the other then back, then from kitchen to lounge then from lounge to kitchen and verandahs. To top it off we had 6 storms in 2 nights and I left the windows open during one of them and bare chipboard floors got wet the day before the floating wooden floor went down. Luckily with fans and the heat it dried in time. The outside needs to be done now (not the gardens I have already done them), but we have no money left (ha ha) and need to put money back now. The birds survived with no great dramas. Except when the security doors went on and they were spraying something right above Skye's cage, I quickly grabbed her and took her outside. Christmas was reasonably quiet, their was a family get together at one of my brothers place, but I opted not to go seeing as my mother still can't bring herself to talk to me. But I think next time there is a family get together I will bite the bullet and go and maybe force her to talk to me-it might work!!!

I hear ya about the home reno-been there done that and glad its done!

We have been getting storms here too, but I have a 1.8 meter fence as a windbreaker so thankfully no damage done.

Wow Tritak what a big renovation plan. we are lucky that our house loan is an equity one so we did our renovations with that. We will now spend the next 12 months putting money back onto the house.
