grrrrr...school bus late again

it is the 2nd time this week that the kids bus has been over an hour late. the buses usually is here about 6:35am. tues morning it came about 8:15am and today it came at 7:45 am. i stand with the kids at the bus stop. and this week the temps are in the high 20's at that time. to top it off there is no place for kids to stay warm. and here in sc the buses are state owned. and only certain amount of buses are given to each county per district. so if a buses breaks down then that route gets put off until all the other buses are done with their own route, then they can come to pick up the out of route kids.

I feel your pain! My kids used to ride the bus and it was the same thing - you had to get up an hour ealier in order to be out there when it was "supposed" to arrive. Then you had to wait and wait. If it did come on time - the kids had to be on the bus for an hour or more. We finally got a second car and now I take the kids to school. I always feel so bad during the winter (or if it's raining) and we leave and I still see poor kids standing out along the way waiting for the bus becuase it's either running really late or it's broken down somewhere.
