Location, location, location

Some of you may remember that I was having an awful time with Elwoodblue and his constant screaming. We decided to move him into the birdroom with Merlin, and move the U2's into the living room.
It has been roughly two weeks (?) now and I am happy to report that the problem seems to have been resolved. Elwood and Merlin are happy in the bird room together during the day as they are not caged. Buck and Cookie love being in the living room, even though they are caged during the day. Elwood still screams when I get home at night, thanks to the dogs announcing my arrival, however, I don't go to him right away. I won't reward his screaming; I do call to him through the door that I will be with him in a minute. I have also been giving Elwood a lot of time on the floor, something he loves! I sat on the wood floor tonight with all of them; I love hearing their little tootsies pitter patter on the floor.
Just wanted to update you all; sometimes it is something as simple as location!

Laurie:

That's excellent! They are so complex. Its always a guessing game when it comes to figuring out what's going on in their little twisted heads. I just discovered today that my birds didn't care for the full sized Santa that I had in our front yard. It was sitting in a model T and illuminated at night. I think it scared them. I removed it today and everyone is quiet and happily sleeping.

Laurie, thanks for the update! I've been waiting for one for weeks and just hadn't heard much of what was going on! Congrats as well!
