I'm gonna take a stab at this. I think the advice about moving him into an entirely different part of the house may help. Just seems to me that the african parrots seem to like solitude more than some of the other species. I don't mean to put him in an area that no one goes to, but maybe your bedroom, if old what's-his-name won't object. I have to routinely move my ekkie to the nether regions when she shows macaw stress syndrome. She must get headaches or something along those lines when they get cranked up. I simply move her into my office for a while. After about a week, I return her to the dinh and she's happy for quite a while. However, you get no points for simply housing an unhappy bird and I'm proud of you for recognizing that. They do need to be where they can be all that they can be. I know how hard it is to fail: remember, I had to rehome a rescued female Severe. Life's lesson learned.
