day at the fair

The rest of the story. It was awesome getting to meet RingneckedPrincess at the fair. Its fun seeing people from here "live".

Getting the Parrotlet was way cool as well. There were a couple heart breakers for me tho. There seemed to be quite a few "breeders" for sale. The first that really caught my eye was an older "proven male" Senegal. He could have been Zoey's sire. He was wonderful looking. Obviously older by the color of his eyes. Black on yellow. I could also tell if I tried to pet the guy I would lose a finger or two. $150 is what he was being sold for. It felt like he was getting put out to pasture. Know what I mean? After seeing lots of other stuff, including a B & G that gave me the "get me outta here!!" look, on the back side of the place in a stack of smallish black cages was yet another Senegal. Poor thing is a plucker. Not real bad but none the less............ it didn't say but I just know it is a she. And she wasn't real happy. Anybody with a Sennie probably knows this sound they make. It is so sorrowful and pitiful it'll melt any heart. After talking to her for a few minutes she starts making these sounds. To me. When Zoey does it it means she really wants my attention, needs some love.
The toy place I was looking for was the next place to see and I just couldn't do it. That Sennie just crushed me. Yeah Yeah Yeah, I know, real tuff guy huh?

Those b&gs made me want to cry...I wanted to bring them all home. The scarlet was cute...in a tiny cage but cute. That little zon they had with the BT macaw was cute too...

I swear...I go to a show saying I won't come home with anything LIVE but alas...the alex was mine from the start so...*shrugs*
