Give em soap? LOL that's funny. I don't let many kids around my birds. And I will hide my dog too, the cats flee! I'm very protective over my babies. Though there was a time when my cat JoJo took flying lessons thru the living room, the dining room and crashed into the wall in the dining room. I hadn't got him fixed yet, and he's an indoor kitty, hadn't sprayed anything til that moment. He always curled up in my lap when watching tv at night. Well that night he backed up to me and SPRAYED ME in my face, my neck, my chest. I was horrified! I picked him up and threw him. Good thing the house is LITTLE! I had to take another shower, gagging the whole time. Two days later, he was fixed! No problems since! that was the only time I could have rung his neck! the little *&^&%

Terri, Now you have to tell us how you REALLY feel! LOL. I agree, kids can be a handful. I'm 46 and chose not to have children. My animals are my kids. This situation is purely the work of poor parenting.

I had the unique opportunity of having a brother and sister who are much older than I am and watched them raise their kids and I babysat many times while they were growing up. I watched all the trials and tribulations with their kids and said , "Oh H*&& NO!"
I was the right decision for me. The good thing is I'm very close to my nephews and I very much enjoy their company. Of course, they are all grown now and starting families of their own - Yes, I'm now a great aunt.

Because of my age and I chose not to have kids, I get this question all the time. "What's the matter? Don't you like kids?"

To me that's like saying, "What's the matter? Don't you like adults?" It depends on the kids. A couple of my very close friends have kids and I adore them. They're very good kids.

But I am like you when it comes to my "kids". I'm very very protective of my FIDS, my dog and my horse. NO ONE touches them without my permission. No ONE comes in my home without my permission. I am very adamant about that.

Hopefully they will not be visiting you again soon and if they do, set the ground rules up front. If they can't abide by them.. bye bye now!

Lol, i have six cousins, 3 on one side 3 on the other. The ones on my dad's side are really cool, they're 11 (twins) and 14. They're really cool and nice. They have a quaker and a cockatiel and a golden retriever and all of them are well behaved (even pets). They will always have a chat with you and see what you're up to and very polite.

The 3 on the other side (12, 14 and 16) are terrors, well, the 16 yr old is ok until he starts with the typical teenager attitude but mostly they are shockers. They are rude and spoilt. They got our yellow labrador who was trained to be a seeing eye dog but was pulled out cos of his hips. He was very well behaved but now he is just as uncontrollable as the kids.

But you can tell it's the way they were brought up...can you guess which ones were spoilt and got whatever they want??
