Welcome to the board, Osvaldo!!! I, too, am 16, and we do have a few other teens around here as well! I'm homeschooled, and last year I was a freshman... Might be one again if I went back to public school this year...

Anyway, I live up in Nevada, use to live in Northern California (above Sac. it was only like a 15 mile move... LOL, we are just on the other side of the border, its less than a mile away!).

Well, welcome, and tell us a bit about yourself/your birds!

Welcome, Osvaldo. I was 16 about 39 years ago. Somehow there's no age when it comes to birdies, is there?

I've got my cherry head conure, Noel. She was given to me by a stranger (I only met this person once), cage and all free. Noel self mutilates herself, though, with me and Casey, she's been doing pretty good. Noel is a hands-off type of bird, however enjoys the occasional headscratch or kisses from me, if she lets me!

Casey is my recessive silver-pearl-pied cockatiel who was a surprise gift to me (though, I take it, I "spent" $15-$25 for her). She LOVES people and was raised by humans from the day she was born. Casey lives with Noel. :)

Cosmo, my green budgie, I recieved from a family, that I had met in a petsore. Well, I met the mother, and her daughter, while they were looking at the budgies. I had one of mine with me that was a sweetie, and she saw that I had a budgie with me so asked if I would like another. I've had him since then.

Smurf is a blue budgie, he came from a family situation as well. However, I met the family through friends, though he was in immediate need of a good home. Smurf lived in a house for some time that a mother (adult) and her friends (teens) smoked, did pot and other drugs...

The bourkes, well, I got them from a lady who was soon to travel around the US, and I found out about them through my mother. The lady was the mother of a friend that my mother works with. My mother basically said yes, that I would take them, before I knew about them. There were 3 bourkes, and the two oldest, the parents, had two chicks... Sadly to say, the father has passed away, and he was around 13 years old. The mother is still alive, and not much older than her mate. The bourkes and budgies live together.

They eat seeds, as well as veggies and bread, with occasional fruit (the smaller birds don't eat that much fruit, however, Noel loves just about any fresh food I give her).

That's a bit about them, so tell us more about your birds!

Well in the past I have had a couple of different birds that were not tame. After all this birds I decided to place them in new homes I wanted more than just a bird on a cage. So last year I bought Kimba a cinnamon-pearl cockatiel (boy). Kimba was on a pellet diet so his parent asked me to keep him that way so I did. Kimba was tame and it didn't take him long to come out of his shell. Anyways not long after Kimba I traded two of my aunts canaries for two baby cockatiels. Anyways I started working with this baby's and not long after they were getting along with Kimba . The babys are now pretty big and it happened to be that one of them was a girl and the other a boy. Kiara is a cinnamon- split to pied cockatiel (girl). Koda is a grey split to pied -pearl cockatiel(boy). Koda had the most beautiful pearls all over his body but his a boy so he lost them all, Kimba lost his pearls to. Anyways when the babys came in I also had them changed to a pellet diet they were so small it was quick for them to get used to it. All this birds live together and are on a pellet diet :D Anyways like a month ago I met a women that loved birds just like me but she just had too many and could not give love to all this birds so I adopted (tic-tac) which I named kalie. Anyways Kalie is a green indian ringneck(boy) which is missing his tail because he was in a cage with two other guys, he also has missing feathers under his wings. He is also tame but sometimes he wants to bite me he seems to change once he is outside his cage. :) All my birds eat frozen veggies on the side. This are basically all my birds. 8)
