Huffing and puffing bad here!

Anyone else experiencing gusting winds? Talked to Tammy this morning and they, too, have them. The wind was so bad here last night and this morning that my cable was out for a couple of hours; was having Birdboard withdrawals and frantic that I wouldn't be able to get my "fix" today!
The blue tarp that is/was on the roof is partially off our roof and laying in shredded pieces in our backyard; looks like confetti.
What in the heck is going on with our weather??????

It seems to be calming down here now, but last night and early this morning it sounded like it was taking our roof off!!!

At least we didn't get the snow along with it!

Calm here so far Laurie.....but our weather down south is supposd to be deteriorating too, soon (dang it). Supposed to get wind chill factors in the 30's, I heard, by tomorrow.......I'm not complaining too much though, as most people up north still have it far worse.....Hope all our bird friends have either already or are considering investing in a generator, etc., just in case needed to keep the Fids warm.......

Lucky lucky GJ. Here in arkansas, the mornings are about 25-35 and then they have been warming up to almost 70 in the afternoon. One peculiar thing about me (and that most people at my school have noticed) is that I own 1 pair of pants. Everything else is shorts. I own one long-sleeve shirt. The rest are T-Shirts. The pair of pants and long sleeve shirt are nice clothes used for playing in symphonies only. So basically, I wear shorts all year long. Snowing, raining, whatever...I'll be wearing shorts. I've actually got a newspaper clipping of my school newspaper when they did an article on ME my sophomore year. (I guess it was a slow month for news or something). I always thought that was funny. Not sure why I posted all that, but, anyway, it has been cold here in the AM, warm in the PM, and not windy at all. Have also had no snow, but it did rain for almost a week straight.

Kevin

Kevin...I had a friend like you in HS. His name is Drew and he would never wear anything besides shorts and tshirts...rarily ever a coat even and we lived in N. Michigan. I went skiing with him once and he wore shorts! He lived for sailing in the summer and it was his way of boycotting winter. He's over it now though! :)

Jessica and Kevin,
Your posts were hilarious. As for your friend boycotting winter, I bet it didn't work. Well, I know it didn't work. Nice effort though.

Winds

After a few days of real cold temps and 15 inches of snow, we are getting the winds too.
Michigan feels more like Alaska! :aiwebs_01

Can't wait till we have warmer temps and some of this snow finally starts to melt.
