Oh I want to see this so badly. I have been bugging a friend who manages a small theater here to show it. He is looking into it.

If you have not read the book by Mark Bittner I highly reccomend it!
It is a wonderful book that will make you laugh and cry.

That looks great, I hope it is released in Australia. Is it being shown in major cinemas or art houses in the States? Or on cable TV...Discovery channel?

No it is not a major cinema movie. More than likely you can catch it in art houses where they show independent and foreign films. Hopefully we will see it come out on DVD by next christmas but I really want to see it on the big screen.
I loved the book so much and I think the documentary will be marvelous. The book took place before the movie and in the end of the book he meets and falls in love with the lady making the documentary.

I did not like some of the choices Mark Bittner made in the book but overall he is a wonderful man with a huge heart who did well for those wild parrots.

I guess I'm going to have to wait for the dvd. It doesn't look like it's going to be shown anywhere near me. That's fine, i don't like getting popcorn and soda stuck to the bottom of my shoes anyway. :-)
