Both our Green cheek and Sun conures loves to take baths in ICE COLD water. In fact, they won't take a bath in anything else other than cold water. Weird I know.
I think sometimes that they just want to "cool" down. But the mind of a parrot is a mystery as yet, so who knows why. Chucky - our green cheek - his first bath that he had while with us was in my drinking cup of ice water. I held it up to my shoulder for him to take a drink (which he did) then once realizing how cold it was, he jumped into the cup and took a bath. I was freezing with water all up and down my shirt and back. But he loved it, and does love it ever since. He gets a cold water bath almost daily now. He loves those baths. He'll bite you if you forget to give him one. So it's not as uncommon as you might think.

Thanks for giving me something new to try. I've always just assumed that warm water was nicer (because I love hot, hot showers). Maybe Stu-bird will enjoy that too.
