The problem is, it starts with her parents thinking it's all okay for little girl to act like an adult.

I was 18 at my senior prom, and my mom and dad were under the impression that the US law indicating me as an adult was BELOW their law that I was still a child until I left the house. I wasn't even allowed to show my back or too much cleavage. . . And this wasn't all that long ago.

My youngest brother graduated from high school last year, and it's utterly amazing how things change in 10 years. The pictures he brought back with girls who had to use garment tape to keep their butts and breasts covered just astounded me.

No. Its such a sad world we live in now. The dress would have never been made.

OMG that is the ugliest "dress" I have seen. Geez! It's funny cos i went to a private christian school then moved to a public school and at my formal (prom) everyone was dressed nicely or cool without everything showing. I saw the photo's from the private school i went too and OMG SKANKY!! HAHA I just thought that was really strange that the public school was more dressy than the private school, they had VERY low or no backs, very low neck lines and some dresses were so short.

ROFL....my parents told me I was grounded until I was 50 (hence their lack of grandchildren) for wearing a mini skirt -- more than three inches above my knees.

.....no way! My daughter is 11 and I keep wondering how some of her fellow students' parents let the girls dress the way they do. There is one 11 year old girl who has been wearing make up for over a year....
Anyway, about the dress, at least the girl was creative. Maybe it's their kitchen curtain?

I think its a sign of the times. Look at the women on the red carpet who are idealized and how little they wear etc. I actually think the dress covered all the stuff thats still supposed to be covered but I'm very modest myself and wouldnt wear it, not do I have any little girls barring my fid. But honestly, I think if she wanted to wear that dress more power to her altho yes, it does rather resemble a curtain redo.

Custom made? Thrown together would be more like it.

We had a big war yesterday b/c my 16 yr old wants a nose ring & wanted to get it done with her 65 yr old grandmother! Needless to say my Mother's Day went down hill from there. And, yes, grandmother is sporting hers today!

And that'd be a "hell no" on the err prom dress!
