I agree, that "dress" is ugly and it doesn't hardly cover anything!

OMG! I have been laughing my butt off at ya'lls comments! Ok glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking the dress was a bit "little" for a high school prom. Well time to go to bed, time to close the curtains, oh wait, damn they're missing! SHE TOOK MY CURTAINS! LOL Good night my fellow birdie parents!

And that'd be a "hell no" on the err prom dress!

......Grandma is sporting the nose ring?

Gee, I thought it was made from a tablecloth, myself...

Curtains?
eeeeeew!
I can't even imagine that ugly thing hangin up in my window, let alone allowing the few square inches they stole from it being used to barely cover my daughter.

I'm surprised nobody pointed out the other reason she was refused entry....
It wasn't just because her attire didn't meet the code...
but because SHE DIDN'T HAVE ANY UNDERGARMENTS ON EITHER!!!!
Check her response to the woman that stopped her, "I asked her what her problem was cuz, ya know, like I had them with me."

DUH!
Having your bra & panties in your purse doesn't count.

I've read through all the comments before watching the vid (it hasn't loaded yet) and I guess I should be a little red faced at the comments belittling tattoos and peircings on a 16 year old... But I'm not, because after watching the video, my usual motto is concrete: 'Make your own decisions, make your own mistakes and learn your own lessons.' I think people have the right to do what they want, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, and learn from the mistakes- or the successes- that result. Hopefully, this girl has learned her lesson! She was being ridiculous. They had dress codes to stick to, and her dress was beyond a joke. I think that the more clothes, the better- it gives people more to look at, is more interesting and can reflect who you are on the inside, as opposed to on the outside. Too much outside!

No worries, I was pierced and tatooed immediately following my 18th birthday. I don't regret a single one, and they don't immediately mean you're destined to follow in this girls flip-flops. My two tatoos are VERY easy to hide when I'm in the office or out with the board of directors, the eyebrow ring has been removed and the fiance said he's leaving me if I remove the belly ring, but at least that is covered any time I'm around someone who shouldn't see it.

But there's a difference between doing something for you and doing something to be noticed. (no one sees my tatoos or piercings without me wanting them to, but it isn't because I'm embarassed, it's because they mean something to ME (well, the belly ring only has "special" meaning to the man, but it was already there, so whatever)) .

The only thing I "regret" is that when I got my tatoo on my lower back. . . .I wasn't able to predict the surge in popularity of the "tramp stamp." 10 years later I cringe every time a 16-year-old walks by with one. . .

I don't know, I say to each their own. She is young, wants to show her body, and is probably after making a statement, so eh why not? Bathing suits are much more skin than that dress was, but they are perfectly acceptable at beaches and pools. I think it was harsh to be led out in handcuffs, and they should have given her money back if they didn't make the dress code explicit beforehand. I think society is way too conservative in general, and it is not productive.

As for her future, well who knows? Maybe she will be a fashion designer??
