Wow, It Like The Wizard Of Oz Here Last Night
Good morning everyone! I'm patting myself down making sure I'm ok. We had two bad storm cells to hit my town last night, one producing a tornado. I was on my 2nd job when they hit and let me tell you, it sucked being the only gas station with power. We had people coming to the store and I'm thinking,,,,DO U SEE THE WEATHER? IT'S NOT OVER! GO HOME! It was horrible. I did have to leave the new girl early cos I had to go home and prepare for my 1st job. My home never lost power, but over 3500 people are w/o power this morning. My 10 min drive to work took 30 because trees were down everywhere! Down town area of Milledgeville went black and was out for a little while. But we are up and running here at the college this morning.
This is a picture of a tornado that was taken by a friend from their back door. They are fine and house is standing. No damage. But I would have ran FAST if I saw that from my back door!

Glad your ok! Tornados are the SCARIEST things ever. They are worse than hurricanes and earthquakes imo.

Oh goodness, I know exactly what you are talking about. That very storm passed through my town and we lost power twice. I get worried every time I hear bad weather coming. The last few times tornadoes hit they were like just a street over from us. We live outside Macon so this little town has been hit pretty hard recently. (I worry about my poor birds if a tornado comes too close, and they have been too close) I don't know how you worked through that one last night, it was a scarey thing.

No, I live on the other side of Macon towards Columbus. I am about 25 miles from Macon in a town called Roberta (Crawford County). We have been hit by a few tornadoes in the last year. But thank goodness they have been all around me but never right here at my house.
