Let me tell you what happened last night!

Wow, what a night it was. My roommate Liz had her friends from work over. They are Quinn & Bryan. They have been over before and understand that I get up at 4:30 in the mornings to get ready for my PD job. So they have always been courteous about not making a lot of noise and pretty much hanging in Liz’s room.

Well I lay down last night between 9pm-9:15pm or so. I have my dog Scarlet in my room, my birds are covered and all is peaceful. I find a movie to go to sleep by and all. Scarlet is on the floor with her devil she is tearing apart when suddenly she starts barking. I tell her to hush it! The front storm door slams closed and that sets her off again. I’m thinking that one of the friends left something in their car. A few moments later, it slams again. And I’m thinking, ok, 2 slams they are now back in the house.

I start to drift off and BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! The door slams again, like 3 or 4 times! What the hell? Scarlet is barking like mad, growling and I’m getting pissed. She calms down and I turn the lamp off and BLAM! BLAM! Ok I’ve had it. I find my shorts and my glasses and I yank open the door and start yelling ‘WANNA SLAM IT ONE MORE DAMN TIME! I DON’T THINK Y OU SLAMMED IT ENOUGH!” And I look out the hallway window and I see Liz, Quinn, some strange character & TWO DEPUTIES in the front yard. I’m thinking, WHAT THE *&^%?!?!?!

I tapped on the window and Liz comes in and I asked her what was going on. When her friends got there, they went to her room as always. They heard the door slam and thought I had someone over. Then they heard it slam again, and they heard me yell at Scarlet to hush it up. Liz gets up to go get her bed comforter out of dryer and lord and behold, there standing in the living room is a strange man, out of breath and shaking…Liz yells’ “B*&ch who the *&^% are you?” Quinn and Bryan hear the pitch in her voice and go running to her.

This guy runs into our home y’all! He tells Liz he’s being chased. I’m still in the dark here now, not knowing a strange man has entered our home! And NO, they didn’t lock the door when they arrived at our home!

Ok all I got was, she called his mom for him BEFORE she called 911! I jumped her butt about that. And for not letting me know we had a tweaker in our home! I told her she should have asked him to leave as she was calling 911 not his darn mother and if he wouldn’t leave she could have walked back down to her hall and out the back door she could have let me know.

Well while she was on the phone with 911, she has the guy out side. She said he was a POLITE intruder. It was yes ma’am and no ma’am. The operator asked for his name and he said Chase and gave his last name and the operator was like, GREAT not him again! We have even had dealings with him at our PD. The operator asked was he drinking, and Liz asked him “hey bro come here” and she said she sniffed him and didn’t smell booze on him but he did have pupils the size of dinner plates.

The officers arrived and took care of things, but he wasn’t arrested for the fact he’s testifying in a shooting on Monday. They did remove him from our property and all. The officers were talking to us and I was heading back down the hall and was told I needed to stay. Liz told the officer that I had just got up to cuss someone out for slamming the door that I had to get to bed cos I was a PD dispatcher as well and I had to be up early. So I was free to go. The deputy laughed and said, “This guy picked the wrong house huh.” Meaning, Quinn and Bryan are both correctional officers, liz works at the prison as well and me, a Police Dispatcher. There was all kinds of law enforcement up in that house.

Liz said when she was on the phone with 911, she told the operator, “Ma’am please hurry and get someone here, this dude keeps slamming my door and my roommate is trying to sleep and if she gets up she’s going to be very mad and this poor man won’t leave in the back of a car but the ambulance!” LOL

Apparently Liz looks at me as her guard dog! I almost got up when the door slammed the first time and if I had, I would have walked in on that man, and I would have freaked and probably reacted badly. My ex husband hit me ONCE, and I sent HIM to the hospital.

Liz told the female officer when I was standing around that she almost got her gun and I stopped the officer before she could say anything and told Liz, “You are going to give me that gun and I will keep it until you go to a class or have one of my officers to teach you proper handling skills.” Then why does she have a gun you’re asking yourself. She is an LPN in the mental prison here and she stated that 2 inmates said they were going to find her when they got out. First off, they go by last names only at the prison, her first name isn’t known. She told her mother if she keyed her own name into a search engine it would show where she lived. I told Liz she wasn’t that popular. I even googled her name and some lady back in 1897 came up. On every hit! So because her two inmates are out to get her (and she’s a nurse not an officer) she tells her mother and mother helps her get a gun! I don’t care that she has a gun, they don’t bother me. I grew up around them and I know about them and can handle them.

Anyway,,,,that was my adventure of the month! A TWEAKER IN MY HOUSE!

That's an adventure for a year. That Scarlet knows what's going on. You should have let her after the intruder.

Dude if that dude reacted and hurt my little sausage dog, it would have been on! I would have been arrested! LOL

I'm right with you. Somehow I think Scarlet would have known how to take care of herself. Those little sausage dogs are scrappy little characters. I'm willing to bet if that guy went after you little Scarlet would have sent him to the E.R. I love those little 'sausage dogs'.

Whew, that would have scared the daylights out of me. I never would have been able to sleep the rest of the night. (I am just a scarey person anyways.) I am never ever home alone and the few times I was years ago, I always had my Great Dane inside with me. He would not hurt a fly but his bark would make you think he would. Ok, I gotta remind myself to double check all locks tonight. But glad, you all are ok and it wasnt anything worse.

I'm glad it wasn't anything more than it was. But let me tell ya, I was fit to be tied! I was ready to chew some one a new @$$hole!

Haha i bet it would be fun...theres 15 guys and then just me the only girl, your braver than most of the guys i bet and Scarlet was brave too.

My father told me I'm too brave for my own good. LOL What does that mean. I had a man come into my store one night when I was working slapping his girl friend around and I stepped between them and told him to try hitting a woman who hit back. I had sent one lousy husband to the hospital, did he want to try for #2? I walked her around my counter and put her in our office and locked the door where he couldn't get to her. I had the broom using it like a baseball bat daring him to come behind my counter when the cops pulled up. I remember that officer that night, he was laughing at me and at that guy cos that guy had tangled with the wrong woman. I was gonna take a good swing at his head if he came behind my counter! he was arrested, it was on video where he had hit her. My district manager, manager and supervisor all laughed, patted me on the back then scolded me for being stupid. Whatever! LOL
