Oh, I think that is so sweet. That little baby kitty will learn right from the start to be nice to his newest best friend. I don't think that as long as there is proper supervision it is scary.

while it's cute, i sure don't approve of that kind of interaction (and that's my personal opinion). in these photos, the kitten is still young and playful - what happens when the cat paws the budgie in the same manner as an adult. that could be the end for the budgie - especially in the light of the fact that cats have claws.

nature has not intended for birds and cats to be friends - they're on different levels on the food chains. in our houses, some of the behaviors change due to the domestic nature of pets. but the instincts are there, and they won't change. and the scary part is that they only have to take over ONE time for the bird to be injured. (have a friend who let her dogs out with the tiel for 5-6yrs - well, one day one of the dogs got annoyed by the tiel.... and that was it). interaction between birds and cats/dogs should always be cautiously watched and i personally wouldn't let a cat or dog get that close

please be careful with "that kind of" cuteness.
