Thumbs up I'm back/home and exausted..

Physically... mentally and emotionally...

In the matter of a week..going from the middle of top of FL to almost center of Texas (near Austin)...there and back.. . 87 miles short of 2 THOUSAND was put on my old 89 GMC Safari van...

My back did better than any of us ever though it would.. the prayer and good vibs from everyone worked a minor miricale ...

I have so much to catch up on.. and so much to say.. will take me awhile.... I have not even DL to computer the pics from my camera..

On second cuppa coffee this morning.. with Dino (quaker) on me.. getting preened and birdy snuggles.... if feathered heaven right now...

All the fids were excited to see Momma/me ....

Had been working with several new words with Shammy before I left... and a day after I left he would say ..... Hellooo.... to anyone who walked in door and then would start screaming when saw it was NOT me...
Think he was afraid I had gone forever like original owner.... got the most frantic greeting from him when I got home.... and he called me.. Momma....
He is still molting like crazy but some new feathers coming in and FULL of pins... he loved me preening the ones on this head.. LOL

As soon as Dino saw me.. clung to side of cage screaming "pet bird"... down feathers in and around cage so starting to molt also.... the man got him from told me he had lost several tail feathers the week before I got Dino.... so I hope it is a molt and not the beginning of plucking..

I moved Dino and cage to front room.. so could let teils out in birdroom.. the teils went NUTS.. they had been not out for a week.. and after the laps around room was covered in teils.... did not have enough hands to give them all scritchs at once.. and they rotated and bumped each other around to do the rotation of scritchs.. in the flock pecking order.... LOL ... even my wild child Snow Flake who normally will not let a human near came over for lovings and scritchs...

I have the awesome chore of cage cleaning today.. not even cage papers were changed and they were only given fresh water, seed mix and pellets while I was gone... ... and NO out of cage time....
The teils were loose/out in birdroom for about 3 hours yesterday after got home and I had a green fid on me till about 45 min after dark.. just rotating between Shammy and Dino.... LOL

Within 2 hours of walking in the door... was starting sprouts and soaked grains for today... ... but was tooo tired to start on the cages other than changing newspaper underneath cages...
I have already gotten KS out to thaw for birdy breakfasts and washed and chopped what fresh veggies here that were dropped off for them while I was gone...
Need to go shoppin for organic fruits/veggies for them today and human food also I guess.... LOL

I will be in and out of boards today catching up one house and organizing...

I want to thank you ALL for your prayer, good vibes, strength and wishs for this house and family that you all have so graciously give during this time..

I AM HOME.....
