What My Bird's Screaming Means

Just posted a new blog post about interpreting what bird's mean when they're screaming.

The gist of what my birds are communicating:

Stewie (sun conure):

1. Pay attention to me!
2. Pay attention to me now!
3. Look, there’s something outside!
4. Why aren’t you paying attention to meeeee?!
5. Gimme, gimme, gimme!
6. I’m a sun conure, and I love the sound of my voice, YAY!!!
7. Pay attention to me!!!!
8. Where are you?? I don’t see you. You can’t possible be paying attention to me!
9. Yay, you’re home. Now you can pay attention to me!
10. PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEE!!

Mika (pionus parrot):

1. Stewie, SHUT UP!!
2. For god’s sake someone make that conure shut up already!

Oscar doesn't scream, just talks. It's nice! He does have his certain noises that mean things, like:
"Mommy! I see you!" means "You woke up! Now you can let me out of my cage!" or "Come back! I want attention!"

Oliver:
1. Come back! I want attention!
2. Where are you going mom? Get back here!

And the greatest thing....she loves taking the beans, rice and veggies out of the food dish and dropping it on the floor and then slamming the food dish (that is twice her size) against the side of the cage cuz it's empty. She also loves to slam it when it has water in it so the water spills all over. She is such a BRAT!
