Dixie, my dog could care less about the fireworks. Diamond, the brat cat, he gets startled by them but not enough to freak out, Rio and Pooter run and hide and dont come out until the last one has gone off.
I dont know about Oscar, loud noises in the house dont seem to bother him and heck I vacuum up feathers and seed from around his cage and it doesnt bother him, so I think he will be cool about it all.
Me on the other hand, I cant stand fireworks and would love to have some ear plugs for the occassion lol

i voted no though that's only half the story - valo's scared initially, but then watches with fascination... nino doesn't seem to care that much, but watches if he feels like it. the noise only seems to bother them at the beginning

My cat hides under the bed, my schnauzer tries to jump into my shirt, Scarlett screams and is unhappy in general. I'll let you know about the new puppy on Friday I guess

The fish don't seem to care. . .

I have always thought it is weird that my birds do not get upset over the fire works or even thunder. Nada. They are fine.

Now my German Shepherds are completely miserable during this stuff. My door nob in their bedroom has big huge teeth marks embedded in it from my dog Bomber who tries to bite the doornob and turn it open.

I do not go anywhere on the 4th because they are so upset.

I use to be a pyro-tech when I was married and I sure don't miss that job! Grrrr and it's the week gearing up to our biggest gigs ever. But my ex and I had a labrador that traveled with us to the shows, and was never bothered by the fire works...but let a thunder storm come up and it's another story. She once when in thru the cat door on the back door one day and we came home to a gapping hole in the door and a labrador needing many stitches in her back....poor Haley,,,Rest In Peace my protector of thunder.

Thank goodness it is against the law in the city limits so we don't have to hear them! There are fireworks shows, but not in the neighborhoods where it is such a horrible fire hazard for all homes.

my female chihuahua is absoloutly miserable from them and I have to put her in her crate untill they are over . well this year we got lucky and they stated on the news that we would not have fireworks this year and i was thrilled . My male chihuahua is not bothered in the least . The quaker arnold is not bothered by them at all ,I too vacuum by his cage everyday to pick up lost seed and he is just so uninterested it is funny . so I am so glad that they did not have the fireworks here this year .

I used to have a pit bull that once grabbed an entire packet of lit fire crackers and shook them as they went off ... thankfully not a scratch, err burn on him either!
