My lovebird smells like coffee

Yesterday I dumped a can of ground coffee on the counter. My lovebird who investigates everything was right there. She decided she loved ground coffee.

She guarded ground coffee. She plowed it with her beak. Then she took a coffee dust bath and would have rolled in it if she could. It was going everywhere.

I spent awhile cleaning up coffee, but at least she still smells good.

Coffee beans, (Sesbania drumundii), Tea, Chocolate Beans (coffee)
Nervous system stimulation, increased rate of breathing and heart rate, seizures, diarrhea

Coffee beans are highly toxic to Birds.

She was bathing and playing in it not eating it.

Lovebirds if they're allowed to be lovebirds and not a cage or coop slave are finicky eaters. Much more so than other hookbills.

I had no worries about her eating it.

ps she's back to smelling like a lovebird and no longer smells like a cup of coffee on my shoulder.
