A year ago we took in a horrbily abused male ekkie. He was a mess, plucking and terrified of people. We eventually lost him, and wanted to add another. I wanted a handfed baby grey to finish handfeeding. Insead we got a fearful 9 year old grey! What was I thinking???
I find it really enjoyable taking in difficult birds. I guess my background of rasing a child with disabilities has affected my attitude.
I say go for it. If you're expecting a cuddly bird to hang out on your shoudler, you might be dissappointed. Look at it this way- you're giving her a safe place, with good food, lots of toys and love. Seh needs somebody. She may or may not come around to be a buddy. As long as you are ok with the possibilities, go for it!

ty for the response. i realize that these birds are very emotional and look forward to the challenge. i also tend to use child psychology alot with my daughter... a grey would probably be no different
