Anyone have a pond?

We just finished ours today. We have built three in three differnt houses. this one I think is probably the best.

It was another project in the back yard, tho the yard is now DONE!!!!! The grass took a beating from all the dirt being thrown around.

the Pond Its pretty big.....and kinda deep. I helped dig the hole, George stacked the slate and I decorated with plants and mulch.. We are replacing the chair that is there with a concrete curved bench so you can sit and watch the fish and frog. I will also be hanging different bird houses off the fence.

We have to find the lights we have for it and we also have a small fountain to put in the middle of the pond....Its all still packed from the move.

Oh how cool... We want to build a pond in the next few years.. What did you use for the liner??

Very cool. I keep promising myself a pool when we landscape the yard, a little project that will probably occur sometime in the near . . .well . . .never probably. But I keep promising myself on!

Here's ours, The part you can't see has a small upper pool and a rock fall from there to the pond.

Your pond is beautiful! You won't believe what I went through today. My Nanday Conure, Oscar was on my shoulder earlier today and decided to jump off of it as I was passing our pond. He landed right in the middle of the pond. Without thinking, I jumped in and scooped him up. Boy, did I learn an important lesson today. Oscar had never jumped off like that before. The story is funny now, but I just about died when it happened. Other than both Oscar and I looking like a drown rats, he was fine. Thanks for reading. Doris

Very nice. We have two... LOL... they are both sitting on top of the trampoline waiting for my hubby to dig a hole and set them up. I would post some pics but they are not quite as lovely as yours. I am jealous. It really does look nice Lisa B. Maybe one day mine will actually make it off of the trampoline and into the ground where I can put some water, fish and plants. Dreaming...........

If anyone is interested, I can show you how to design and build a self filtering self balancing environmental pond.

It's pretty easy to do. I just had turtle eggs hatch so now I have a couple little turtles in there.
