New name, same face!
Haha, just wanted to let everyone know I had my username changed! When I first logged on to BirdBoard, I was just looking for information, and didn't plan on getting SO incredibly involved - wasn't expecting to fall in love with birds and people I've never met before or learn so much from you guys! I asked Keving to change my login, but it's still me and my plucky redhead trying to be helpful in our ignorance and soaking up all the knowledge out there!

It's a family name from my dad's side of the faimly.
Saint Germain is a place in France, out side of Paris. Apparently all of my dad's family is from Paris and Saint Germain. There's a hotel there, called the "bel ami saint germain," which means 'Beautiful Friend - Saint Germain.' as my name is Amie, the female of 'ami,' my grandmother (who died last Fall) used to feminize it and call me that. Fun, right? I know, stupid family stuff that's only interesting to me
