My family all call me "Nicky" or "Nick", but everyone who isn't related to me calls me "Nicole." I don't know why it happened that way, but it did. It sounds odd to hear someone not related to me call me by a nickname, and if any of my relatives call me "Nicole" it sounds like I've done something wrong. :aiwebs_01
Anyway, a few years ago my sister decided to drop the N in my name and now calls me "Icky" or "Ick." Whenever I tell this story people assume my sister was too young to pronounce the N. No, she was about 15. In any case, "Nicky" (or "Nikki" as most people spell it) is a fairly common name to the point that I've stopped responding if I don't immediately recognize the voice. It's easy for her to get my attention in a crowd by calling "ICK!" :icon_roll |

The only nicknames I had came from my dad...Princess or pumkin.
My family hated when he called me this, and always made fun of me...., however, now that he passed on in June, it is a wonderful memory for me to have. :eusa_ange

One of my clients thinks it is hilarious to call me by my third middle name "muhammed" (half of our family are yemeni Jews, & gave a "public" name that was in common usage in the society), along with my eclesiastical title Rabbi. He loves the reaction of strangers to hearing the name Rabbi Muhammed. Personally I don't really care, after all it is all part of my name. |

My mom used to call me "skinny winny freckle face" as a child
My brother used to call me "sissy" (he couldn't say my name, this was as close as he could get) Son of my babysitter used to call me "Cheri Merry Muffin" (after the doll Cherry Merry Muffin...jeez that was a long time ago!) My dad calls me "bé" My boyfriend calls me "fruitcake" when I'm doing something weird, and "cupcake" when he wants something. |

Well I was called Two-sy when I was little. The first card in a deck of cards I recognized was the two and when my parents had card night with their friends or family (you know like poker where twos are wild) I would look in everyones hand and say twosy twosy if they had a two so everyone knew when they had a wild card!
Now I'm called Stephie-pooh by my husband and Tessy-sue by my mom (I'm still her little girl even though I will be hitting the 30 mark soon and have three kids of my own!) the tessy sue kind of evolved from the twosy. Stephanie |

My dad calls me "Dayna Wayna". Yeah real cute there dad! He told me I was going to marry a guy with the last name Wayna. Thank God I married a Robertson! Speaking of my husband, he speaks german and called me something like leipshin or something. My pronunciation of german is wayyyyy better than my spelling! But for some reason when he said that all I heard was ape sh*t. When I busted out laughing asking him why he called me that, he explained what he really said. Well I am sure you are guessing correctly when that stuck and my husband when feeling full of himself calls me his little ape sh*t.
I should probably have not ever told a soul about this! HEHE
