Well, my bubble is still intact.
I'm familiar with video SFX and honestly the debunking I've seen about the production of that clip was very unconvincing. I will say those elephants are trained to a certain extent. Simply by the fact that they do this trick often and the more often they use the tools, the better they become. An elephant's trunk is a lot more dexterous than most people think. I've seen an adult pick petals off one flower on a tree branch, but leave ones beside it untouched. I've also seen a couple of young elephants playing with some sticks and rocks. The 2 of them were almost taking turns dropping, throwing and draggin them through a puddle. They made some surprisingly intricate patterns in the mud and that was with absolutely no human coaching.

Each elephant is "taught" a different design by the looks of it. The other one did all flowers. I believe!!!!! Wow... Thank You.
