Funny Crazy Animals! (video)`

I've had this video clip for awhile, but still watch it once in awhile and giggle. Thought I'd share.. Good to watch when you're having a tough day

I love it! Shared it with my husband and he thought it was the silliest video he's ever seen.

I'm not sure exactly what it is myself - neither the camera angle or lighting are all that great for any attempts at identification.

However, that Ringneck Pheasant statuette doesn't look very big at all.....
So that, coupled with what I can see of the plumage....
My first guess would be one of the Rosellas -a Crimson perhaps.

It's some sort of lorikeet. Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure! I'll see if I can figure it out!

It looks like it has red on the top of the head, with white cheeks? And striping on the back.... First thoughts, possibly a yellow steaked lory.... although they don't have a white cheek patch or the white stripes?

Now the bird could also be a hybrid, so there may be no way to know. The body shape/beak reminds me very much of a lory or lorikeet, so I don't really know for sure what it is!

Looking at youtube, the dance looks much similar to that of other lorikeets dancing!
YouTube - Ridiculous lorikeets
YouTube - rainbow lorikeet dance
YouTube - fat tony's tribal dance
YouTube - My funny lorikeets 3

So either way, I'd say it's some sort of lory or lorikeet!

I think you're right.
I watched it again after I made that last post and thought "Hmmm, it could be one of the Lory group", but of course it was passed the time where I could edit & add that....
