Inflamatory post!! Beware, you have been warned!
"All Girls have Coodies!"
Now if I had posted an inflamatory post like the above I might have gotten more responses to my stupid "Update" post that only a very small handfull responded to. Not that I am fishing for posts, just using it as an example is all. Why is it that only the "nasty" (and I use the term loosely) posts get all the attention and gazillion responses? Is that all we have to do/say is to jump on stuff like that? What the blue bloody blazes would Mrs. Cleaver have said to all of this? At least I still dream of Mayberry when I sleep.

My Dearest Michael:
Reading your posts is like reading a favorite novel at the beach. We all read them and we all like them. However, sometimes they just don't seem to elicit responses. If you'd like, however, I shall make it a point to comment on every single post. That should encourage you to post MORE often. I love to read your stories and think that you know that. You are, however, a scamp and just like to make us feel guilty. You are very much like my Dreamie! THE OUTLAW

Aaarghhh!! I wasn't fishing for responses or posts at all, hmmmm maybe should have used a different example. It's just that it seems all the "harmless" or "goodie two shoes" posts are the ones that fall by the wayside.
But the ones that would/could raise the feathers on some folks gets hit with all kinds of responses from folks and some that hardly ever post even pipe up. I was just wondering at the nature of this particular ... phenomenon. Have we really nothing better to say than ... negative things? If I would have responded to everything that pissed me off here on the board, I would have had my shiny little heiny banned a long time ago. And I really have a hard time keeping my mouth shut at times and tend to get into trouble when I open it. So ... I keep it closed for the most part and just scratch my head at some of the notions folks have. Hence the lack of posts on my part at times. But I must admit that I too am remiss in responding to many posts that fill my heart with gladness, joy and peace, so I guess it's just the nature of the beast. Ok I'll shut up now. :icon_eek: ![]()

Well, Mike, personally I just think that for you to have used this forum to promote the idea that all girls have cooties is just wrong, and I'm REAL mad about it! I think that you should get poked from all the women on this board, just to prove to you once and for all, that girls do NOT have cooties. Luckily for you, that probably won't happen, because we're all afraid of getting boy cooties on us! So there!

Well, Mike, if I ever post anything that makes you shake your head or bite your tongue, feel free to send me a PM, and we can discuss it like civilized adults. :icon_mrgr
Too often has my tongue gotten me in trouble, so I can sympathize with those who say nothing at all (as opposed to the other alternative that we're all familiar with). But I agree that when we're complacent we won't speak up as much as when someone says something that irks us. When we feel that an injustice has been done, however, the gloves usually come off. But I never intentionally stir up any bad blood, and I'm sure most people here do the same. That being said, I may occasionally show the sarcastic side of my 24-year old personality. Add to that the fact that some of my beliefs may differ from others who post here, and I'm sure I could get banned from here if I really wanted to.

Mike - you know that we all love your posts. This board has a lot of new members who aren't as familiar with you as the "regulars" are - that may be one reason for the lack of responses. Stop getting your undies in a bundle :eusa_naug and keep posting for us "regulars".

Hey Jeth...If you poke Mike with a really LONG stick..he wont be transferin' any of thoes cooties to ANYONE!!!
hey graeh... Kensbuns has hit the nail on the head..... With less interaction in the real world because of the internet, people dont often "try" to get along, but instead get a kick out of starting trouble, because they can hide behind a screen............. the best thing to do is just scratch your head and turn a cheek, and ignore them.... because unfortunatly, they aint going away :aiwebs_01
